Turn Out The Lights

Tuesday, December 23, 2008
I subscribe ( rss ) to whitehouse.gov, the official White House website for the Bush Administration. Soon, it will be time to turn out the lights, and shut down the site.

What will the last post be? Error 404? Redirect to change.gov? Or, will the last post hang in limbo as so may forgotten blogs, and failed business sites do?

Perhaps Barry will move in, and remodel the site. I've always admired the cool-blue theme of George's page, but I imagine Barry would want to 'change' things a little...

What's your thoughts?

Excerpt from an interview with US president G.W. BUSH by Shmuel Rosner, May 13 2008.

"And so you asked about legacy and all that business -- which I don't worry about, by the way. I'll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office."

Then he goes on, to say, talking about himself: "...he clearly saw the threat and he did something about it."

I know we are supposed to believe that the threat he is referring to has to do with what they call terrorism, but what if he had something else in mind? That's what I would like to see written in that last post.

Perhaps the threat was the US Constitution: A threat to the elite represented by Bush. If so, the president was indeed speaking the truth: He did something about it.

We'd need "some smart person" to tell us what they think.

Merry Christmas to your family!
